A study in human peripheral bloodstains demonstrated that the circMBOAT2 exhibited a unique, linear degradation profile over a 120-day storage interval, with its relative expression levels showing a significant negative correlation with bloodstain age under outdoor conditions (r=0.82) [Wei et al.
