Forensic Context

A study in mice demonstrated that the circABCA1 is significantly upregulated in spinal cord tissue after traumatic injury and functions as a core component of a regulatory axis, where it binds miR-135b-5p to influence KLF4 expression [Wang et al. DOI:10.4103/1673-5374.308100]. In a rat model of radiation-induced lung injury, single-cell transcriptomic analysis identified the orthologous gene associated with the circABCA1 as being involved in inflammatory processes [Shi et al. DOI:10.17305/bb.2024.10357].
