A review of literature on circular RNAs (circRNAs) in embryogenesis and cancer development, covering human, mouse, zebrafish, and pig models, synthesizes findings from multiple studies indicating that circRNAs are stable, cell-type-specific molecules with biomarker potential across various diseases [Di Agostino et al.
