Forensic Context
A study in humans identified the circSCAPER as an exonic circRNA that is significantly up-regulated and co-differentially expressed in both lung tissue and plasma from patients with sepsis-induced acute respiratory distress syndrome [Guo et al. DOI:10.1016/j.lfs.2021.119566]. A separate review notes that the circSCAPER is involved in multiple cancer pathways, including VEGF, angiogenesis, and HIF-1 signaling in osteosarcoma [Huang et al. DOI:10.3390/cells11091381].
