Forensic Context

A study in humans demonstrated that the circSPARC is markedly upregulated in patients with coronary artery disease, suggesting its overexpression may contribute to the pathogenesis of CAD [Li et al. DOI:10.3389/fcvm.2022.810257]. This biomarker was also referenced in a separate human study analyzing coronary artery segments from a myocardial infarction autopsy case, which mentioned it as a known biomarker for CAD [Hou et al. DOI:10.1002/jcla.23552].
