Forensic Context

A study in humans demonstrated that the circUSP14 is a diagnostic biomarker, being up-regulated in the peripheral whole blood of ischemic stroke patients compared to healthy controls, with its expression validated by qRT-PCR [Wei et al. DOI:10.1186/s12883-021-02397-0]. Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis indicated the circUSP14 has a relatively high diagnostic value for ischemic stroke, with an area under the curve of 0.809.
