Forensic Context
A study in human coronary artery samples from a single autopsy case demonstrated that the circC3ORF58 exhibited significantly subtler expression levels in the mid-left anterior descending and distal left circumflex coronary artery segments compared to the left main trunk, with its circular nature validated by Sanger sequencing [Hou et al. DOI:10.1002/jcla.23552]. This circRNA is suggested to play a pathological role in coronary atherosclerosis and may serve as a diagnostic or therapeutic target for coronary artery disease.
