A study in humans demonstrated that the miR-424-5p is downregulated in peripheral blood mononuclear cells from patients with sacubitril/valsartan resistance compared to non-resistant patients after acute myocardial infarction [Su et al. DOI:10.1016/j.ejphar.2023.175547], while a separate review in humans reported that the miR-424-5p is upregulated in hypertrophic scar tissue and venous ulcers compared to normal skin [Siu et al.
