A study in human lymphoblastoid AHH-1 cells demonstrated that the mir-4324 is dose-dependently upregulated at 4 hours post-irradiation (0-10 Gy) and also upregulated at 24 hours post-irradiation at certain doses [Song et al. DOI:10.3390/life10120361]. This radiation-inducible expression pattern was identified as part of a validated biomarker panel for ionizing radiation exposure.
