A study in human cadavers demonstrated that exosomal miRNAs, including the mir-4743, are stably preserved in postmortem serum for at least three days when stored at or below 20°C [Kanno et al. A separate review of human skin biology reported that the mir-4743 is downregulated in hypertrophic scar tissue compared to normal skin, indicating its dysregulation in wound healing and scarring processes [Siu et al.
