A study in human postmortem serum demonstrated that exosomes and exosomal miRNAs, including the miR-4743-5p, are stably preserved for at least three days when stored at or below 20°C [Kanno et al. DOI:10.1007/S00414-022-02913-Y]. A separate review of human skin conditions reported the miR-4743-5p was downregulated in hypertrophic scar tissue compared to normal skin [Siu et al. DOI:10.1111/wrr.13100].
