Forensic Context

A study in humans identified hsa-miR-4772-3p as a microRNA with a potential regulatory role in sepsis, where it was part of a constructed competing endogenous RNA network predicted to interact with core prognostic genes CD247, IL2RB, and TGFBR3 [Zhang et al. DOI:10.1186/s12920-023-01460-8]. Another human study found the miR-4772-3p was increased in both sepsis and systemic inflammatory response syndrome compared with healthy subjects based on sequencing data [Ma et al. DOI:10.1371/journal.pone.0075918].
