A study in humans identified the mir-4784 as a potential biomarker for recurrent myocardial infarction risk, showing it was upregulated in whole blood of patients with recurrent MI after percutaneous coronary intervention compared to those without, with this differential expression remaining significant after false-discovery rate correction (FDR <0.1) [Onuoha et al.
