A review of human skin burns, wound healing, and scarring identified 197 miRNAs with altered expression, where the miR-4791 was not among those experimentally studied in the provided human tissue samples, cell lines, or functional assays [Siu et al. DOI:10.1111/wrr.13100]. A separate study in humans with coronary artery disease investigating circulating miRNAs for thrombotic risk did not identify the miR-4791 as a differentially expressed biomarker in plasma or whole blood associated with recurrent myocardial infarction [Onuoha et al. DOI:10.1111/cts.13307]. A study in humans demonstrated that the miR-4791 is differentially expressed between monozygotic twins, as microarray analysis of blood samples from 18 twin pairs identified it among 545 differentially expressed miRNAs and subsequent qRT-PCR validation confirmed its differential expression in 5 to 8 of the pairs depending on the fold-change threshold applied [Xiao et al.
