A study in humans demonstrated that the miR-1262 was significantly and positively correlated with age in peripheral blood from physiologically unaffected individuals, showing a correlation of 0.470 (P value 1.81E-06) in a microarray cohort [Meder et al. DOI:10.1373/clinchem.2014.224238]. A study in rhesus macaques (Macaca mulatta) demonstrated that the miR-1262 was utilized as a feature in elastic net-based survival prediction models, specifically in the Day 6 and Day 9 (by gender) four-group survival models following whole thorax irradiation [May et al. DOI:10.1038/s41598-022-16316-x].
