A study in humans demonstrated that the mir-526b was significantly and positively correlated with age in peripheral blood from physiologically unaffected individuals, showing a correlation coefficient of 0.456 and a raw P value of 3.94E-06 in the initial microarray screening cohort [Meder et al.
