Forensic Context

A study in humans demonstrated that the mir-642b-5p is upregulated in postischemic left ventricular myocardium following acute ischemia during cardiac surgery [Saddic et al. DOI:10.1152/physiolgenomics.00049.2015]. In a separate human study, the mir-642b-5p was identified as a potential biomarker for sacubitril/valsartan resistance, showing upregulation in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells of heart failure patients with this resistance compared to non-resistant patients [Su et al. DOI:10.1016/j.ejphar.2023.175547].
