A study in humans demonstrated that the mir-6775-3p was identified via miRNA sequencing as one of nine miRNAs differentially expressed across five pairs of monozygotic twins and was subsequently validated by both qPCR and droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) as a candidate for distinguishing such twins, showing significant differential expression in three of five additional validation pairs via ddPCR [Wang et al.
