A study in human vascular endothelial cells demonstrated that the miR-6776-5p was significantly downregulated in exosomes derived from cells subjected to heat stroke conditions, with a fold change of 13.00 [Chen et al. DOI:10.12659/MSM.909983]. In a separate clinical investigation of patients with coronary artery disease, the miR-6776-5p was also identified as significantly downregulated in the whole blood of patients who experienced recurrent myocardial infarction after percutaneous coronary intervention [Onuoha et al. DOI:10.1111/cts.13307].
