A study in humans demonstrated that the miR-6825-5p was identified by miRNA sequencing as one of nine miRNAs differentially expressed across all five initial pairs of monozygotic twins [Wang et al. DOI:10.1016/j.fsigen.2025.103230]; however, subsequent qPCR validation showed its differential expression was reproduced in only one or two pairs, so it was not selected for further validation with droplet digital PCR.
