A study in human cadavers demonstrated that exosomal miRNAs, including the mir-6880-3p, are stably preserved in postmortem serum for at least three days when stored at or below 20°C [Kanno et al. A study in humans identified the mir-6880-3p as a top upregulated circulating microRNA in plasma from acute myocardial infarction (AMI) patients compared to non-AMI controls, with its differential expression validated by qRT-PCR [Zhong et al. DOI:10.1002/jcla.23099].
