A study in mice demonstrated that the let-7a-2 is a member of the abundantly expressed let-7 family in liver tissue, and deep sequencing identified 48 differentially expressed miRNAs, including 21 novel miRNAs, in response to ionizing radiation-induced liver injury [Lu et al.
