A study in humans demonstrated that the mir-1305 was upregulated in denatured dermis compared to paired normal skin, showing a 10.55-fold increase four days post-burn in deep partial thickness burn patients [Liang et al. DOI:10.1016/j.burns.2011.10.014], and this upregulation was also identified in deep partial thickness burn skin four days post-burn versus normal skin [Siu et al. DOI:10.1111/wrr.13100].
