A study in humans identified the miR-15b-3p as significantly upregulated in the plasma of patients with coronary artery disease compared to normal coronary artery controls, ranking it among the top ten upregulated microRNAs [Zhong et al. In non-human primates subjected to whole-thorax lung irradiation, expression of the miR-15b-3p at or below the median abundance at day 15 post-irradiation was associated with statistically significant reduced survival [Rogers et al. DOI:10.1667/RADE-20-00031.1].
