A study in mice demonstrated that the miR-150-3p exhibits a radiation dose-dependent decrease in serum and whole blood, serving as the radiation-sensitive analyte in a two-miRNA finger-stick assay for biodosimetry [Yadav et al. DOI:10.1126/scitranslmed.aaw5831]. In a rat model of whole thorax irradiation, the miR-150-3p was confirmed to be downregulated in whole blood two weeks after exposure [Gao et al.
