A meta-analysis in humans identified the miR-302d-3p as upregulated in serum following mild traumatic brain injury, where it targets 1673 genes and is part of a robust signaling signature involving MAPK, TGF-β, WNT, and other pathways that are concomitantly reflected in serum, plasma, and saliva [Matyasova et al.
