A review of human studies identified 197 miRNAs associated with wound healing, burn wound healing, and scarring, with specific miRNAs showing altered expression in human skin tissue samples post-burn and in hypertrophic scar tissue [Siu et al. A systematic review of the literature indicates that the miR-3065-5p is upregulated in alcoholism in human subjects, where it targets genes involved in cellular adhesion, differentiation, and migration [Occhipinti et al.
