A study in humans demonstrated that the mir-3074-5p was significantly upregulated in the plasma of patients with coronary artery disease compared to normal coronary artery controls, as identified through RNA sequencing [Zhong et al. DOI:10.1002/jcla.23020]. A study in humans and mice demonstrated that the mir-3074-5p is downregulated in the peripheral blood of antidepressant responders to duloxetine and placebo in a discovery cohort, but this finding was not significant in a first replication cohort, and it was not included in further analyses [Lopez et al. DOI:10.1038/ncomms15497].
