Forensic Context
A study in humans identified the miR-346 as a potential biomarker predicted to bind hsa_circRNA_104161, a circRNA that was upregulated in lung tissue and plasma from sepsis-induced ARDS patients [Guo et al. DOI:10.1016/j.lfs.2021.119566]. A review of human postmortem brain studies found that the miR-346 is downregulated in the Brodmann area 46 of subjects with schizophrenia and is located in intron 2 of the GRID1 gene [Yoshino & Dwivedi DOI:10.3389/fpsyt.2020.543893].
