A study in humans with coronary heart disease identified the mir-3609 as a differentially expressed miRNA in the interaction network significantly correlated to Total Cholesterol (r = -0.814) [Liao et al. DOI:10.1186/s12920-019-0570-z]. In a separate human study on alcohol use disorder, the mir-3609 was downregulated in ethanol-exposed hESC-derived cortical interneurons [Lim et al. DOI:10.1038/s41398-021-01635-w].
