Forensic Context

A study in humans identified the mir-370 as increased in patients with unstable angina pectoris and acute pulmonary embolism [Tong et al. DOI:10.3390/ijms19051467]. A study in human blood demonstrated that the mir-370 level was significantly increased in coronary artery disease patients with hyperlipidaemia, indicating its potential role in cause of death determination for sudden cardiac death [Li et al. DOI:10.1093/fsr/owad003]. In a separate investigation of human prefrontal cortex, the mir-370 was found to be down-regulated in subjects with bipolar disorder [Smalheiser et al. DOI:10.1371/journal.pone.0086469].
