A study in Sprague-Dawley rats demonstrated that the miR-370-3p was upregulated 22.88-fold in the corpus cavernosum of obese rats with erectile dysfunction compared to controls, identifying it among 68 differentially expressed miRNAs [Bai et al. DOI:10.1016/j.esxm.2017.06.006]. In human forensic research, massively parallel sequencing identified the miR-370-3p as differentially expressed within a pair of monozygotic twins, though this specific finding was not subsequently confirmed by real-time PCR validation [Fang et al.
