Forensic Context

A study in humans demonstrated that the mir-382 is upregulated in hypertrophic scar tissue compared to normal skin and is also upregulated six hours post-burn in heat-shocked skin epidermal stem cells [Siu et al. DOI:10.1111/wrr.13100]. Another study in preterm human newborns found the mir-382 was significantly down-regulated in the cord blood plasma of patients with early-onset neonatal sepsis compared to controls [Janec et al. DOI:10.14712/fb2023069050173]. A review of human postmortem brain studies reported that the mir-382 was upregulated in the Brodmann area 46 of subjects with schizophrenia [Yoshino and Dwivedi DOI:10.3389/fpsyt.2020.543893].
