A study in human preterm newborns with early-onset sepsis demonstrated that the miR-382-3p was significantly down-regulated in cord blood plasma of the sepsis group compared to gestational age-matched controls [Janec et al. DOI:10.14712/fb2023069050173]. In human skin research, the miR-382-3p was found to be upregulated in burn hypertrophic scar tissue versus normal skin and was also upregulated six hours post-burn in heat-shocked skin epidermal stem cells [Siu et al. DOI:10.1111/wrr.13100].
