A review of human studies identified the miR-382-5p as downregulated in plasma vesicles of methamphetamine users, indicating its association with cardiovascular disease, synaptic plasticity, and neuroinflammation [Xu et al. A study in humans demonstrated that the miR-382-5p was upregulated 1.92-fold in postischemic left ventricular myocardium following cardioplegic arrest during cardiac surgery [Saddic et al.
