Forensic Context

A study in humans identified the miR-3909 as a core component of a competing endogenous RNA regulatory network, where it was predicted to interact with CD247 and TGFBR3 in sepsis patients [Zhang et al. DOI:10.1186/s12920-023-01460-8]. In a separate human study, the miR-3909 was found to be significantly downregulated in the whole blood of coronary artery disease patients with recurrent myocardial infarction after percutaneous coronary intervention, with this differential expression remaining significant after false-discovery rate correction [Onuoha et al. DOI:10.1111/cts.13307].
