Forensic Context

A study in human cardiac tissue from ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM) patients demonstrated that the DTX3 is decreased in vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC) in ICM compared to non-failing controls, but is increased in hypertrophic and dilated cardiomyopathies compared to controls [Simonson et al.
