Enables Wnt-protein binding activity and metalloendopeptidase activity. Involved in negative regulation of Wnt signaling pathway and proteolysis. Located in organelle membrane and plasma membrane. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Jul 2025]
A study in humans identified the TRABD2A as a laminar marker for layer 5 in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex for spatial transcriptomics [Yang et al. DOI:10.1007/s00414-022-02889-9]. In a separate human study, the TRABD2A was investigated as a candidate mRNA for predicting the time-of-day of bloodstain deposition, where it was removed from the final analysis dataset due to high correlation with other markers [Gosch et al. DOI:10.1101/2025.02.03.636230].
