Paraneoplastic Antigen
Enables identical protein binding activity. Predicted to be involved in Golgi to secretory granule transport and vesicle transport along microtubule. Predicted to be located in cytoplasm. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Jul 2025]
Forensic Context
A study in humans demonstrated that the CDR2L was detectable in all investigated cerebral cortex lobes (frontal, temporal, parietal, occipital) but did not enable sub-differentiation of these forensically relevant brain regions, as differences in mRNA expression were too exiguous for forensic application [Euteneuer et al. DOI:10.1007/s12024-024-00787-7]. A review further notes that the CDR2L is a potential stable biomarker for traumatic brain injury diagnosis, being upregulated in the cerebellum of TBI victims [Lei et al. DOI:10.1093/gpbjnl/qzag007].
