A study in mice demonstrated that the circSNX29 is expressed at higher levels in embryonic skeletal muscle compared to adult tissue and its expression correlates with myoblast differentiation, where it functions as a sponge for miR-744 to increase Wnt5a and CaMKIId expression [Di Agostino et al.
