A study in human hepatic stellate cells demonstrated that the circTUBD1 is upregulated after ionizing radiation exposure, and its silencing promotes miR-146a-5p, which targets TLR4 to increase apoptosis and decrease proinflammatory cytokines, thereby enhancing radiosensitivity [May et al.
