A study in mice demonstrated that the AIG1 gene, identified as an overlapping differentially expressed gene from a prior microarray study located on proximal chromosome 10, was overexpressed in the ventral midbrain of a methamphetamine high drinking (MAHDR) line compared to a low drinking (MALDR) line in the absence of drug exposure [Hitzemann et al.
